CMT's Leslie Fram, Rounder Records' Tracy Gershon and Marcie Allen of MAC Presents Among Powerhouse Panel of Women to Appear at Popular Speaker and Networking Series
WHO KNEW, sponsored by entertainment executive search firm MusicRowSearch and the College of Media and Entertainment at Middle Tennessee State University, will present Women Who Rock on Thursday, March 10, at 3rd & Lindsley near downtown Nashville. Power executives include CMT’s Leslie Fram, Rounder Records’ Tracy Gershon, MAC Presents’ Marcie Allen, Julie Boos of Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy, Ree Guyer Buchanan of WrenSong Music Publishing and more.

The March 10 panel will include the following female entertainment industry leaders:
Julie Boos: As co-owner of Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy, a business and financial management firm, Boos is responsible for a number of today’s successful touring artists and many of tomorrow’s future headliners. Boos’ clients include Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Kip Moore, Kellie Pickler and others.
Tracy Gershon: Tracy Gershon is vice president of A&R at Rounder Records and manager of country act Natalie Stovall and the Drive. Gershon‘s reputation for discovering and nurturing artists and songwriters has given her the opportunity to head up creative departments at Nashville based companies including Sony Music, Warner Chappell and Warner Bros. While at Sony Music, Gershon served as a Judge on “Nashville Star,” where she discovered and signed Miranda Lambert.
Leslie Fram: Leslie Fram is the senior vice president of Music Strategy and Talent for CMT. In 2015, Leslie conceptualized the innovative performance franchise “CMT Instant Jam,” which documented surprise pop-up concerts with artists like Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Hunter Hayes and Florida Georgia Line. Fram is also one of the key architects of the annual CMT Music Awards.
Marcie Allen: Marcie Allen is president of MAC Presents, an award winning music sponsorship and activation agency. Allen has completed multi-faceted programs on behalf of brands including Sony, Southwest Airlines, YouTube, Microsoft, Verizon, Samsung, Citi, Delta, AT&T and artists including Foo Fighters, Rolling Stones, Green Day, Billy Joel, John Legend, Imagine Dragons and Keith Urban. Prior to starting MAC Presents, Allen owned and operated Nashville/Atlanta-based MAD Booking & Events, which produced more than 100 music festivals across the country.
Ree Guyer Buchanan: Ree Guyer Buchanan is the owner of WrenSong Music Publishing, one of the top independent publishing companies on Music Row, with a catalogue of over 3,000 copyrights. Ree’s focus is on developing a catalog of Grammy/CMA nominated Songs of the Year and over 15 #1 hits for artists including The Band Perry, Pistol Annie’s, Faith Hill, Oak Ridge Boys, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean and album cuts by many other major label acts ranging from Ray Charles, Dixie Chicks, Reba and Kenny Chesney.
Linda Edell Howard: Linda Howard is a self proclaimed L.E.M.I. (Lawyer, Entrepreneur, MamaMafia and Idea-generator) at Adams and Reese, LLP. While practicing law, she handled matters involving international intellectual property rights for the estates of Elvis Presley and George Gershwin. The majority of her clients are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, Canadian Music Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, Musician’s Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as many Grammy Award-winning producers and artists.
Sloane Scott: Sloane Scott is the co-founder of FLO.CO, a venture studio where she helped develop the business and brand strategy for Blue Chair Bay Rum, The Made In Network, Google for Entrepreneurs (G4E) and several others. At the early stages of her career, she joined Mark Montgomery at Echomusic, one of the first platforms to sell music and merchandise to leverage data to help artists build their careers.
Heather McBee: Heather McBee is the vice president of Accelerator Programming at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. She has 25 years of experience in marketing, sales and operations in the music and radio industries.
Beth Raebeck Hall & The Usual Suspects will kick off the WHO KNEW after party, followed by Jill and Kate and a special appearance by Dori.
